COVID-19 increases preeclampsia susceptibility among women with pre-existing hypertension or diabetes
Mississippi has the highest rate of preterm birth in USA. Additionally, the number of maternal deaths related to hypertensive complications of pregnancy in Mississippi is almost 4-fold higher than the national average. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the aim of this study is to compare maternal and neonatal outcomes between women with COVID-19 disease in pregnancy and women without COVID-19 disease in an at-risk population.
