Implementing PrEP to Decrease HIV Transmission Rates Among Females

In 2018, 5.1 per 100,000 persons in the United States assigned females at birth (AFAB) live with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Historically, this population has had a decreased opportunity to be screened for HIV or offered PrEP to protect them from HIV.
