LITE SABR M1: a Phase I Trial of Lattice Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy for Large Tumors

Hypofractionated radiotherapy is an appealing treatment for patients with metastatic or unresectable tumors in need of palliative radiotherapy. [1] Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) is a form of hypofractionated radiotherapy increasingly used in this setting as it may improve local control and better palliate symptoms compared to conventional fractionation. [2 –3] SBRT does face limitations when considered for large tumors. Locoregional control and toxicity are both thought to be worse for larger tumors treated with SBRT compared with smaller tumors.
