Risk of Total Wrist Arthrodesis Following Proximal Row Carpectomy: An Analysis of 1,070 Patients

CONCLUSIONS: Proximal row carpectomy is a motion-preserving salvage procedure with a low rate of conversion to wrist arthrodesis. Younger patient age increases the risk of conversion to arthrodesis, whereas posterior interosseous nerve neurectomy, bilateral PRCs, and comorbidity status do not appear to have an impact on the risk of arthrodesis.TYPE OF STUDY/LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: Prognostic II.PMID:34857405 | DOI:10.1016/j.jhsa.2021.09.031
