Laparoscopic intragastric approach to transgastric necrosectomy
AbstractThe laparoscopic transgastric approach to infected pancreatic necrosis is an alternative to endoscopy deemed particularly interesting in patients with large retrogastric walled-off necrosis. It allows to carry out a cystogastrostomy and an initial extensive necrosectomy, adding the possibility of future endoscopic necrosectomies if needed. Frequently this technique is performed using an anterior gastrotomy to access the gastric lumen1,2.
