GSE189357 Spatiotemporal transcriptional atlas of lung adenocarcinoma from adenocarcinoma in situ to invasive carcinoma scRNA-seq

Contributors : Tao Jiang ; Shiquan Sun ; Yue Fan ; Jianfei ZhuSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Homo sapiensTo illuminate the evolutionary trajectory of LUAD from AIS to IAC, high-throughput scRNA-seq and ST data were generated and integrated to create a large-scale, single-cell spatiotemporal atlas of LUAD. We compiled a multi-omics atlas of the early-stage LUAD invasion process that reflects the heterogeneity of cancer cells, the competitive polyclonal origin of LUAD, signalling interactions between cancer cells and the TME, and the pseudo-chronological nature of LUAD invasion. The spatial distribution characteristics of LUAD cells revealed the spatial heterogeneity of LUAD and the mechanism of spatial immune escape in LUAD, which provides strong evidence supporting clinical diagnosis and surgical intervention at the single-cell level.

Medicine (Baltimore). 2022 Jan 14;101(2):e28249. doi: 10.1097/MD.0000000000028249.ABSTRACTRATIONALE: Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Approximately 50% of patients is metastatic at diagnosis and the most common metastatic sites are bone, lungs, brain, adrenal glands, liver, and extra thoracic lymph nodes. The occurrence of gastrointestinal metastasis from lung carcinoma is rare and seems more commonly related to small cell lung cancer compared to non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).PATIENT INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSIS: A 78-year-old man with completely surgically resected NSCLC and no in...

Endosc Int Open 2022; 10: E145-E153 DOI: 10.1055/a-1613-5328 Background and study aims The aim of this study was to validate the COlorectal NEoplasia Classification to Choose the Treatment (CONECCT) classification that groups all published criteria (including covert signs of carcinoma) in a single table. Patients and methods For this multicenter comparative study an expert endoscopist created an image library (n = 206 lesions; from hyperplastic to deep invasive cancers) with at least white light Imaging and chromoendoscopy images (virtual ± dye based). Lesions were resected/biopsied to assess his...

CONCLUSION: Our results suggested that overexpressed SHMT2 is correlated with the reduced OS and RFS of the BRCA, KIRP, LIHC, and LUAD patients and can be a potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarker for these cancers.PMID:35023455 | DOI:10.2174/1566524022666220112142409

AbstractIn the present study, the various 28 hybrid molecules containing hydrazone and sulfonate moieties were synthesized and characterized by FTIR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR spectroscopy and LC-MS spectrometry, besides elemental analysis. The compounds were evaluated for their antiproliferative effects against six cancer cell lines, namely A549 (non-small cell lung cancer), MCF-7 (breast cancer), HT-29 (colorectal adenocarcinoma cancer), PC-3 (androgen-independent prostate adenocarcinoma), Hep3B (hepatocellular carcinoma cancer), and HeLa (epitheloid cervix carcinoma cancer). Among all the target compounds, compounds4g and4h exhibit...

Conclusions Tumour cell reimplanation from contaminated endoscopes and accessories is a possible cause of local recurrence after curative endoscopic therapy for superficial Barrett carcinoma; also, corticosteroid injection could have promoted tumour regrowth in these cases.

Conclusion: The LC patient pathway significantly increased in Hungary over the 6-years study period. There were no significant differences in the length of the whole LC patient pathway according to age, however, female sex, surgery as first-line treatment, and adenocarcinoma were associated with longer system intervals.PMID:35002544 | PMC:PMC8734146 | DOI:10.3389/pore.2021.1610041
