Analysis of 23 Years of Cornea Donor Data From an Eye Bank in Turkey
CONCLUSIONS: This study evaluated the most extensive eye bank data in Turkey and found that advances in lamellar surgery techniques and improvements in specular microscopic facilities have expanded the pool for cornealtransplants to include tissues from older donors. Moreover, the incidence rates for HIVpositive and syphilis-positive serology tests in discarded corneas have increased over time.PMID:34812709 | DOI:10.6002/ect.2021.0072
