?hemiluminescent activity of blood phagocytes in patients with covid-19

The number of people infected with COVID-19 around the world is steadily increasing. COVID-19 is a new respiratory infection. The causative agent of the disease, a new RNA-containing coronavirus SARS-CoV2, was discovered at the end of 2019.Objective: To assess the functional activity of blood phagocytes in patients with COV19.Objects: patients with cov19 (n = 33); control(n = 36). The diagnosis of COV19 was made on the basis of a positive PCR test (nasal swab) and an ELISA method for the presence of M and G antibodies in the blood serum using Architect SARS-CoV-2 IgGandAdviseDx SARS-CoV-2 IgM test systems (Architect). Methods: Phagocytes (neutrophilic granulocytes and monocytes) were isolated from peripheral blood in a double density gradient ficoll-urografin (1.077; 1.17 g/cm3). Mononuclear cells were adhered to plastic. Functional activity was measured using luminol and lucigenin-dependent chemiluminescence. The basic and reserve activity (upon induction with zymosan) was determined. The parameters were investigated: time to peak (Tmax), intensity (Imax) and area under the curve (Smax), activation index (IA).Results: The study of phagocytes showed a decrease in Imax (p=0.03), Tmax (p<0.001), Smax (p=0.02) and IA (p<0.001) of the baseline and induced luminol-dependent response relative to the control. In the lucigenin-dependent chemiluminescence of neutrophilic granulocytes, an increase in the Tmax of the baseline and induced responses (p<0.001) is observed, with a d...
