Heart Rhythm Society: What ’s the value proposition?

Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) traces its roots to a first meeting in 1979 when J. Warren Hawthorne discussed the idea of developing a national professional society focused on cardiac pacing and electrophysiology with Seymour Furman, Victor Parsonnet, Dryden Morse, Michael Bilitch, and colleagues. The founders and early members realized the importance of having an independent organization dedicated to science and education in the nascent fields of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology that would provide a forum for collaboration among multiple stakeholders.
