Sleep-Wake Disturbances: Common Side Effect
Clin J Oncol Nurs. 2021 Dec 1;25(6):33. doi: 10.1188/21.CJON.S2.33.ABSTRACTFor sleep-wake disturbances, standards of care are based on established evidence-based practice. Sleep-wake disturbances are defined as ongoing issues with sleep or daytime sleepiness (e.g., circadian rhythm disorder, hypersomnia, insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep apnea). Sleep-wake disturbances are estimated to occur in 35%-75% of patients with cancer.PMID:34800130 | DOI:10.1188/21.CJON.S2.33
