Triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio and cardiovascular events in the general population: a systematic review and meta-analysis of cohort studies

The ratio of triglyceride (TG) to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) has been regarded as a novel surrogate indicator of insulin resistance and the atherogenic index of plasma. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the association between the TG/HDL-C ratio and the incidence of cardiovascular events in the general population.
