Fertility and Pregnancy Outcomes Following Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Myomectomy in a Canadian Cohort
Uterine leiomyomas, commonly known as fibroids, are the most common benign tumor of the genital tract. Fibroids primarily affect women of reproductive age with a cumulative incidence of 70% [1]. Although most women with fibroids are asymptomatic, for some women fibroids can significantly affect quality of life. Common symptoms of fibroids include abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain and bulk symptoms, infertility and other adverse reproductive outcomes [2].
