Parasacral versus tibial transcutaneous electrical stimulation to treat urinary urgency in adult women: randomized controlled clinical trial
According to the International Continence Society, urinary urgency is a symptom defined as “complaint of a sudden, compelling desire to pass urine which is difficult to defer”[1], present in both urgency and mixed urinary incontinence.[1] Overactive bladder syndrome is urinary urgency, usually accompanied by increased daytime frequency and/or nocturia, with or without urinary incontin ence, in the absence of urinary tract infection or other detectable disease.[1]
