Surgical Skill Acquisition in Medical Students on the Virtual Platform: Is it as Effective as Conventional Proctoring Methods?

Pandemic related changes have radically altered the delivery of medical teaching.Didactic lectures, and small group teaching sessions are amenable to a “virtual” mode of delivery. The practical skills of medicine which students should be proficient in at time of graduation have tended to require in person tutelage. The aim of this study was to evaluate the use of telementoring in acquisition of basic suturing skills in medical students.
