The role of workplace bullying in low back pain: a study with civil servants from a middle-income country
Low back pain (LBP) is a major public health problem around the world27, and it is one of the most common complaints in occupational health, with high prevalence in several groups of workers37,45,70. It is also a major cause of sick leave, disability and absenteeism worldwide, resulting in high costs for institutions and for society9,15,39,63. The point prevalence of current LBP and the period prevalence of LBP (in the last month and the last year) in the general population are 11.9%, 23.2%, and 38.0%, respectively27.
