Dermoscopy, light microscopy, and real-time polymerase chain reaction for the diagnosis of scabies. Preliminary results

CONCLUSIONS: Real-time PCR testing of scrapings and dermoscopy are more effective than microscopy. Combined real-time PCR testing of scrapings and skin swabs seemed the most effective.
