Response to Letter to the Editor regarding the article “Impact of caffeine on metabolic activity and biofilm formation of Candida albicans on acrylic denture resin in the presence of nicotine”

The authors appreciate Dr Nair ’s comments and interest in our article.1 The study aimed to examine the effect of caffeine on metabolic activity and biofilm formation of Candida albicans growing on acrylic denture resin while simultaneously exposed to nicotine. Upon consulting with our team, we appreciate these comments pointin g out limitations of the study and proposing interesting ideas for future research. The scope of a single study is often controlled to answer well-defined research questions and to fulfill the aims of the study.
