Aberrant expression of n6-methyladenosine regulators in uterine fibroids from the eker rat model
The epitranscriptome is an emerging frontier in molecular medicine owing to its vast potential as an additional and highly dynamic layer of gene regulation above and beyond the epigenome. To date, more than 160 different chemical modifications in RNA have been identified in living organisms; among these, N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is the most pervasive, abundant, and conserved internal modification within eukaryotic mRNAs. However, knowledge of epitranscriptomics in uterine fibroids (UFs), the most common pelvic tumors in women of reproductive age, is currently limited.
