Conclusions. There is an association between obesity, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, and Upper Airway Volume (UAWV). Measurement of the Tongue Length (TL) and Height (TH) recently emerged as a non-invasive method of evaluation of the UAWV and tinge architecture. The pulmonary artery diameter (PAD) and its ratio with the ascending aorta diameter (PAD/AoD ratio) are predictors of pulmonary hypertension (PH). Severe obesity increases the risk of PH due to its association with left ventricular dysfunction and obstructive sleep apnea. The aim of this study was to identify changes in the PAD and PA/AoD ratio after bariatric surgery (BaS) using chest computed tomography (CT).
