Exogenous melatonin prevents type 1 diabetes mellitus –induced bone loss, probably by inhibiting senescence
ConclusionThis work shows that melatonin protects against T1D-induced bone loss, probably by inhibiting senescence. Targeting senescence in the investigation of diabetic osteoporosis may lead to novel discoveries.
