Reply to: “Correspondence to: “Atherogenic index of plasma and the risk of rapid progression of coronary atherosclerosis beyond traditional risk factors””

In response to Dr. Dobiasova ’s letter to the editor [1], we take the opportunity to reiterate the importance of using units of the international system (SI) when reporting scientific data. It is of paramount importance to enable comparability of results presented in different articles, but also to facilitate exchange of info rmation between the whole, global scientific community. Atherosclerosis requires authors to express units following the international system or to provide conversion factors into SI units (as indicated in the Guide for authors) and in the submission checklist to be filled in at submission of all rev ised papers).
