Correspondence to: “Atherogenic index of plasma and the risk of rapid progression of coronary atherosclerosis beyond traditional risk factors”

In their paper published in Atherosclerosis, the authors showed that AIP- atherogenic index of plasma is an independent, most sensitive biomarker of atherogenic diseases, which is in agreement with approximately two thousand studies described since 2001 [1].
