Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy following commencement of dupilumab for atopic dermatitis: coincidence or contributory?

A 38 year-old Chinese male was seen in Allergy clinic for poorly controlled atopic dermatitis (AD) since his childhood. This initially began as flexural eczema that became more widespread and severe with lichenification in his 30s. He has a background history of well-controlled allergic rhinitis. Management consisted of allergen minimization strategies, regular emollients, and regular topical corticosteroids. He had trailed escalating doses of azathioprine which resulted in cytopenias but minimal improvement in his eczema.
