Trauma Informed Care Saves Patients from Physical and Psychological Reinjury

As surgeons, it is all too easy to relegate our services to mere plumbing and carpentry while ignoring the humanity behind the injuries. Truly comprehensive trauma care, however, requires that we understand the environments from which our patients come to us and what they face upon their return.
