Further Observations on Pregnancy Complications and COVID-19 Infection —Reply

In Reply Messinger and colleagues argue that the associations we reported between COVID-19 infection in pregnancy and adverse maternal and newborn outcomes may be exaggerated because negative test results were not required for the nondiagnosed group whereas positive test results were required in the asymptomatic diagnosed group. Moreover, they believe asymptomatic women with positive test results were more likely to be tested because they had more risk factors. Such bias is unlikely in our study for the following reasons.
