28534 Erythema multiforme DRESSed up

A 32-year-old female, 5 weeks postpartum, presented to the hospital with a rapidly spreading rash. She was started on flucloxacillin by her GP a week ago for a presumed post C-section wound infection. She developed erythematous macules on her legs a few days after starting antibiotics and became pyrexial. She was febrile 38.8 °C and had raised inflammatory markers. Her wound did not look infected but CXR suggested evidence of infection and she was started on antibiotics on microbiology’s advice. CT scans of the abdomen and pelvis showed small bilateral lung nodules, either infective or inflammatory, and no evidence of wound collection.
