Preprints: New option for research studies at the Journal for Nurse Practitioners

Beginning in September, when you submit a research study for potential publication in the Journal for Nurse Practitioners (JNP), you will have the option of automatically posting your manuscript to SSRN (https://www.ssrn.com/index.cfm/en/nursingrn/nursingrn-ejournals/), a preprint repository. The corresponding author will be asked to indicate whether they would like to opt-in to post their manuscript as a preprint. Elsevier will post the preprint when it starts peer review, and it will remain globally available to read free on SSRN whether the journal accepts or rejects the manuscript.
