Vericiguat —A New Addition for Heart Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction

Heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) is a complex clinical syndrome caused by structural and/or functional myocardial dysfunction that results in the body ’s inability to maintain adequate metabolic supply to the organs and tissues.1 The mainstay of treatment for initial and long-term management of HFrEF is guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT). GDMT has been proven to improve the overall survival rate of patients living with HFrEF.2
