Quantitative investigation of the effect of surgically induced hypoparathyroidism on cataract development

ConclusionThe clarity of the crystalline lens may decrease in surgically induced hypoparathyroidism patients depending on the disease duration and PTH levels. Additionally, this study detected an increased frequency of blue-dot-like cataract in the patient group, which may be due to the effect of hypoparathyroidism.
