Body composition in patients with type 2 intestinal failure

CONCLUSION: This is the first study to demonstrate that low muscle mass is common in patients with type 2 IF, regardless of body composition assessment modality. A larger cohort study is required to validate the impact of low muscle mass and quality on clinical outcomes and the role of targeted interventions to improve the care of patients with type 2 IF.PMID:34270136 | DOI:10.1002/ncp.10745
