The impact of indomethacin on the number of oocytes retrieved and IVF outcomes in patients with poor ovarian response

Poor response (POR) to controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) is one of the most challenging issues in the field of reproductive medicine. Poor responders (PORs) represent a significant percentage of couples treated in IVF units (10 –24%), and POR is usually associated with a reduction in follicular response, resulting in a reduced number of retrieved oocytes, and consequently a reduction in pregnancy rates [1]. Over the last few decades, researchers have proposed a series of strategies and ovarian stimulation protocols to im prove pregnancy outcomes in patients with POR; however, clinical decisions regarding COH protocols in PORs during IVF/ICSI treatment remain controversial [2].
