Activity Screening of the Herb < em > Caesalpinia sappan < /em > and an Analysis of Its Antitumor Effects

CONCLUSION: Petroleum ether extracts of the roots, leaves, and stems of C. sappan exhibit certain antitumor effects. Our data indicate that the mechanisms underlying these effects may relate to a reduction in the expression of PCNA and VEGF and the inhibition of angiogenesis. Our findings indicate that we can expand the medicinal use of C. sappan to the leaves and stems, thus improving resource utilization and reducing resource damage.PMID:34257693 | PMC:PMC8257350 | DOI:10.1155/2021/9939345
