The main reason could originate from either the male or the female, and sometimes, both contribute to the fertility disorder. For the male, sperm disorder was found to be the most common reason for infertility. In this paper, we proposed male infertility analysis based on automated sperm motility tracking. The proposed method worked in multistages, where the first stage focused on the sperm dete...

CONCLUSIONS: Osseous metaplasia appears associated with multiple unspecific gynecologic symptoms without the predominant role of infertility, as previously suggested. Although endometrial osseous metaplasia is rare, gynecologists should consider this pathologic condition when the characteristic ultrasound appearance is detected, being hysteroscopic treatment effective.PMID:34500212 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejogrb.2021.08.032

The aim of this study was to investigate the intra-ovarian potential of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) administration on oocytes-dependent variables in the POR women grouped according to the POSEIDON criteria.METHODS: This retrospective study was performed on POR women with no underlying condition who have undergone intra-ovarian PRP injection. As well as patients' age, the number of total and MI, MII, and GV oocyt...

Experimental &Molecular Medicine, Published online: 08 September 2021; doi:10.1038/s12276-021-00655-2A protein known to regulate cell proliferation plays a key role in preparing a woman’s uterus for pregnancy, a finding that could inform future treatments for female infertility. A team led by Zhan-Peng Yue and Bin Guo from Jilin University, Changchun, China, examined the role of a co-activator protein called TAZ in decidualization, the process in which the uterine lining changes hormonally and biochemically following ovulation. The researchers showed that TAZ levels build up in the mucosal lining of the uterus, w...

ConclusionA close relationship between infertility and sexuality, both in the female and male partners, was detected. ART treatments may heavily impact on the couple's psychosexual health. A couple-centred program for the integrated management of psychological and sexual dysfunction should be considered in the context of ART programs.
