Population seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in Anambra state, South-East, Nigeria
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the SARS-COV-2 virus infection a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) on the 30th of January 2020 (Eurosurveillance Editorial Team, 2020). About a month later, on the 27th of February 2020, Nigeria diagnosed her first case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in an international immigrant (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, 2020a). This first case of COVID-19 triggered a massive nationwide response led by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to restrict the disease to the point source, as close as possible.
