Rate of Rural Infections Climbs by 25% for the Week

Analyzes new COVID-19 infection rates between July 4-10, 2021. Finds the rate of new infections in rural counties increased more than 25%, primarily due to a surge of infections in Missouri and Arkansas. COVID-related deaths decreased for the sixth consecutive week to 282, the lowest number in more than a year.
