One To Remember...

During my undergraduate studies I worked as a CNA on the surgical floor at the hospital. One evening I mustered up the courage to ask an old prestigious surgeon who had just finished a long day in the operating room a question. He personally held over 70 surgical patents and he exuded authority and was highly respected. I explained my desire to pursue medicine and asked him if all the hard work to get there was really worth it? He instantly stopped what he was doing, looked right at me, and said, “Anything worth doing in life takes hard work.” With that, he walked away.
