Detection significance of miR-3662, miR-146a, and miR-1290 in serum exosomes of breast cancer patients

Conclusions: Exosomal miR-3662, miR-146a, and miR-1290 may have promising predictive value and could be utilized as biomarkers for diagnosis and preventative strategy development.

Among them, 68 cases received pyrotinib combined with chemotherapy after the failure of trastuzumab first-line treatment (pyrotinib group), and the other 96 cases received lapatinib c...

Recently, we presented evidence that high mitochondrial ATP production is a new therapeutic target for cancer treatment. Using ATP as a biomarker, we isolated the “metabolically fittest” cancer cells from the total cell population. Importantly, ATP-high cancer cells were phenotypically the most aggressive, with enhanced stem-like properties, showing multi-drug resistance and an increased capacity for cell migration, invasion and spontaneous metastasis. In support of these observations, ATP-high cells demonstrated the up-regulation of both mitochondrial proteins and other protein biomarkers, specifically associa...

ta Santamaria Carlo Irace Selectivity and efficacy towards target cancer cells, as well as biocompatibility, are current challenges of advanced chemotherapy powering the discovery of unconventional metal-based drugs and the search for novel therapeutic approaches. Among second-generation metal-based chemotherapeutics, ruthenium complexes have demonstrated promising anticancer activity coupled to minimal toxicity profiles and peculiar biochemical features. In this context, our research group has recently focused on a bioactive Ru(III) complex—named AziRu—incorporated into a suite of ad hoc designed nucleol...

Conclusion: Our study showed that the extent of change in fine motor dexterity depends on the treatment regimen. The detection of unmet care needs could help to personalize and optimize clinical and survivorship care. Based on our findings, multidisciplinary support initiated early in breast cancer therapy is required.Oncol Res Treat

To assess the association between breast cancer survival and post-diagnosis AVSs use. We performed a literature search using PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Embase from their inception to October 1, 2020. Studies that investigated the association between breast cancer survival and post-diagnosis AVS use included. The AVSs included 1 or more of the fo...
