How ' surge testing ' and genomic sequencing are being used in locations in England where coronavirus (COVID-19) variants have been identified. 2 July 2021Removed Bracknell Forest Council (targeted areas) and Surrey County Council (targeted areas in Reigate and Banstead) from the list of locations using surge testing. 30 June 2021Updated information on getting a COVID-19 test if you have symptoms. Added recommendation to get a test even if symptoms are mild.
