Association between peripartum hysterectomy and venous thromboembolism
The risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) postpartum is modified by mode of delivery, with the risk of VTE being higher after cesarean compared to vaginal delivery. The risk of VTE following peripartum hysterectomy is largely unknown.
