Posterior Hairline Eruption Secondary to Simulium Bites

A 5-year-old girl presented with multiple punctate lesions on the posterior neck. One lesion presented with bleeding as the sentinel symptom. Initially a solitary punctate lesion was noted, with 7 new lesions emerging over one week. The lesions were pruritic; she proceeded to excoriate the lesions (Figure 1).
