Working through COVID-19: ‘Zoom’ gloom and ‘Zoom’ fatigue

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the way in which we work across the world. Work is now undertaken at home, in bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms using one of the many video platforms including ‘Zoom’, ‘Webex’, ‘MS Teams’ and ‘Skype’ to name but a few. Whereas many of us were aware of such technology before the pandemic, the rise in usage of these platforms in 2020 (by a reported 360% in the case of ‘Zoom’) has been encouraged by both Government and employer messages to stay and work at home to control the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
