Long-term consequences are increasingly reported in the current literature after COVID-19 infections. Some patients suffer from persistent pulmonary and extrapulmonary symptoms even months after the acute infection. Pulmonary impairment, but also dysregulation and effects on immune system, cardiovascular system, neurological system, skin and kidney are described or anticipated.
