Indacaterol/glycopyrronium affects lung function and cardiovascular events in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases: A meta-analysis

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), characterized by chronic progressive aggravation of lung function, commonly results in progressive dyspnea, coughing, and expectoration,1 and is currently the third leading Disease-related death worldwide.2 Acute COPD exacerbation not only requires additional medication, but also for the patient to be further hospitalized, which accelerates decline in lung function and leads to poor prognosis as well as increased risk of death.3 Bronchodilators play a central role in managing symptoms in COPD patients, therefore form a cornerstone for its treatment.
