Reader's Comments Association of Peri-Procedural Major Bleeding With Outcomes in Patients Undergoing Transcatheter Mitral Edge-To-Edge Repair

Transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) is a well-established minimally invasive treatment option for patients with significant degenerative or functional mitral regurgitation (MR).1 Major bleeding (MB) after percutaneous interventional cardiac procedures is an important predictor of adverse short and long-term outcomes. Data from the National Cardiovascular Database Registry (NCDR) show that MB is the most common procedural complication in patients undergoing TEER, with a reported prevalence of approximately 4%.
