INOCA: Role for dynamic myocardial CT perfusion and CTCA?

In this issue of the IJC, authors of the manuscript entitled “Prevalence and disease features of myocardial ischemia with non-obstructive coronary arteries: insights from a dynamic CT myocardial perfusion imaging study” report the following main findings: (1) relatively low INOCA prevalence of 6.4% (20/314 patients); (2) INOCA patients demonstrated signif icantly more positive remodeling (40% versus 17%) compared with patients with normal (negative dCTP and CTCA) or near normal (negative dCTP and mild stenosis on CTA) findings and (3) patients with obstructive coronary artery disease demonstrate significant more vulnerable plaque features compared wi th INOCA patients [1].
