Timing of Complication and Failure to Rescue after Hepatectomy: Single-Institution Analysis of 28-Years of Hepatic Surgery
Morbidity after hepatectomy remains prevalent despite improvement in mortality. While complications such as liver failure have decreased due to advances in surgical technique and perioperative care, infectious complications are notable. Initiatives to improve early recognition and treatment of these complications are warranted.
