Global distribution of publications in anesthesiology : A  bibliometric analysis from 1999 to 2018

CONCLUSION: Regarding quantity trend, the output of global production in anesthesiology increased continuously as the number of articles from the high-output countries showed an increasing trend; however, there was still a gap between developing and developed countries in research quality.
