Immunosuppression and Clostridium difficile Infection Risk in Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Patients

This study showed for the first time that immunosuppressant increased postmetabolic and bariatric surgery Clostridium difficile infection risk by 95% in comparison with patients who also underwent operation but were not consuming immunosuppressant. Increased attention to metabolic and bariatric surgery patients taking immunosuppressant is needed.
