Volunteer Opportunity: Board Members Required For New Nutrition Science Advisory Board

The Nutrition Society  is partnering with the International Food Information Service (IFIS) to promote the use of high-quality nutritional science. IFIS is an educational charity founded 52 years ago by various food-related industry bodies.  The Society/IFIS partnership involves:Developing an authoritative database of nutritional scienceProviding training for nutrition students and early career researchers on how to access and use high quality science.Full details of the partnership can be found in this  briefing document An Advisory Board, comprised of members of the Society, is being formed to provide advice on the content of the nutrition database. It is anticipated being a member of the Board will involve an average of 5-10 hours per year. The Advisory Board will comprise of 10 Society  members, and will be led byProfessor Chris Seal andDr Frank Thies.  Members are invited to apply for the eight  remaining Board positions.Ideally, the Board composition should cover all aspects of human and animal nutrition science.
