In conclusion, elevated hs-CRP levels were significantly associated with cardiovas cular-related and malignancy-related deaths in patients with intermittent claudication. Furthermore, the result that cancer mortality exceeds cardiovascular mortality is different from previous reports, so the present findings warrant further investigation.
